Attend the first weekend of Crown Point Farmers Market this summer

This Saturday, visit the Franciscan Health Pavilion at Bulldog Park where the Farmers Market will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday beginning May 28 through Sept. 24. Join Currie Ford Motors for their fifth annual Memorial Day weekend event

Celebrate Memorial Day with the City of Hammond’s annual parade

Sponsored by the Hammond Mohawks, grab your family and friends for Hammond’s annual Memorial Day parade! The fun starts at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 30 when the parade kicks off at the Cavalier Inn. From there, the festivities will travel west to Hohman North, eventually finishing at the front of Saint Casimir Church where a service with refreshments will be held. With a beautiful forecast this weekend full of sunny skies and gorgeous spring weather, now’s your chance to watch some high school sports before it’s too late! On Friday, may 27, the softball sectional championship game will be held at Chesterton High School, and then on Monday, May 30, the baseball IHSAA championship game will be held at Valparaiso High School.
