It’s Maple Syrup Time in the Region, and Lake County’s Parks and Recreation Department is offering you a chance to see how the stuff is made this Saturday and Sunday! Maple syrup can only be created in places with above-freezing days and below-freezing nights, making Northwest Indiana one of the few places it can be made.
