A cast of characters including neighborhood oddities, poets, painters, celebrities, and other notables populate Jack Lane's black and white photographs from O'Rourke's Pub. Located on North Ave., the bar was a Chicago institution in the 1960s and '70s. 
Lane's photographs include well-known faces such as Roger Ebert and Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Wolfe, but more importantly evoke the sense of camaraderie, diversity, and personality that marked the era and the "Saloon Society" of Chicago.
The exhibit will be on view at Lubeznik Center for the Arts from November 13, 2010 through February 13, 2011. A free opening reception, featuring a "spirited" panel discussion with Chicago's Rick Kogan, will be held Friday, November 19 from 6:00–9:00 p.m. Admission is FREE.
