The Indiana University Northwest volleyball team and head coach Alondra Avalos have announced the signing of five freshmen and a senior transfer for the upcoming 2024 campaign.
Eva Everett (Nursing) joins the RedHawks from Chesterton High School and the Epic United Volleyball Club. Everett played three seasons with the Trojans and finished with 123 aces, 473 digs and 632 assists. With Epic United she closed out the 2024 season with 10 or more digs in six matches.
Julianna Kisel (Psychology) graduated from Munster High School and played club volleyball with Epic United and Ignite Elite. Kisel spent two seasons on the varsity squad and helped the Mustangs to a conference and sectional champion. Kisel finished her prep career with 255 kills and 232 total blocks.
Trinitie Lintner (Nursing) a Lowell High School honors graduate played front row and finished out her high school career with 249 total blocks and 622 kills. She hammered down 300 kills as a senior and was named first team all-conference. Lintner also played volleyball with Epic United.
Kylie McCabe (Elementary Education) a four-year varsity student-athlete at Bishop Noll, helped lead the Warriors to a pair of sectional championships. As a setter, McCabe closed out her career with 228 assists and added 79 aces to go along with 156 digs over four seasons. The Munster, Ind., native was a member of the Epic United club team.
Josephine Mulligan (Criminal Justice), a senior transfer out of Keiser University (Fla.) finished the 2023 season with 107 kills, 74 assists, 61 digs and 19 block assists to help the Seahawks to a 30-win season. Prior to Keiser, the Saint John, Ind., native played two years at Vincennes where she had 842 assists, 354 digs and 57 aces.
Kaelan Murphy (Biology) is a Lake Central High School product and a 2022 sectional and regional champion. Murphy played two seasons of varsity volleyball and had 203 kills, 227 digs and 41 aces as a senior. She was named NWI Times Player of the Week and Lake Central Offensive Player of the Year. Murphy played club volleyball with Epic United.
“We are very excited for this recruiting class to join us. We are welcoming a very talented group that will bring in a great deal of size, versatility, and athleticism to our roster,” Avalos said. “This group will make an immediate impact. I am happy to have them on board and look forward to an exciting and competitive season.”
The RedHawks begin the 2024 season on Aug. 16 at the University of Northwestern Ohio in the Racer Rumble.
