GRIFFITH, Indiana – Join co-sponsors Franciscan Health and Cleveland-Cliffs, Inc. Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Be Well Health Expo in Griffith.
The event, hosted by Green Balance CBD & Wellness, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Avenue 912 Event Center, 202 W. Ridge Road in Griffith. The event is free, but pre-registration is encouraged.
Attendees can meet one-on-one throughout the day with healthcare and fitness professionals from Franciscan Health and more than 20 other local organizations, attend seminars on a variety of wellness topics, receive free health screenings and learn valuable healthcare information.
Franciscan Health will be offering information on colonoscopies, breast health, bone density screenings, trauma, functional medicine, yoga, the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), home health services, the Family Birth Centers and the Outpatient Pharmacy at Franciscan Health’s Dr. John Lanman Clinic, as well as heart, lung and vascular screening bundles. Coupons for a free gift following a mammogram at Franciscan Health Munster will also be available.
Franciscan Health will also provide presentations throughout the day by healthcare experts on a variety of topics. Jennifer Homan, RN, MSN, manager of trauma services at Franciscan Health Crown Point will present on, “Trauma and Injury Prevention across the Lifespan.” Desiree Brummett, BSP, NTP, RYT, RPYT, employee health solutions manager for Franciscan Health Michigan City, will lead a yoga and meditation session and Dr. Robert Prock, MD, a radiation oncologist at Franciscan Health Munster, will present on cancer prevention and screening.
