Memorial Opera House is very excited about opening 9 to 5, the Musical on Friday, September 17, and we want to ensure that our patrons can attend our shows and concerts in a safe and comfortable environment.
While Porter County is currently one of few counties in Indiana still in the “yellow” metric, per the Indiana State Department of Health, our County Health Department has been keeping a close eye on the current wave of the global pandemic. While we hope that the numbers begin to trend downward, we want to make sure that our patrons are prepared for protocols that may be in place by the time the curtain goes up.
If we move to the “orange” metric, we will implement the following restrictions:
• All ticket holders and volunteers backstage and working as ushers will be REQUIRED to wear masks.
• There will be no meet and greets with the cast after the show.
• Hand sanitizers will be available throughout the building.
• Tickets can be shown from phones or printed forms and all patrons can be checked in by name through Arts People.
As well, Porter County Facilities Department will be sanitizing and treating the auditorium seats frequently throughout the run of the show.
As always, we encourage patrons that if they feel unwell, they should NOT attend any events, and we ask them to reach out to the Box Office about exchanging their tickets for a future production.
We will continue to keep you updated via email, social media, and our website as the situation evolves.
Thanks so much for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you (safely) at the theatre!
9 to 5 • The MusicalSeptember 17 - October 3
Three unlikely friends take control of their office and learn there is nothing they can’t do, even in a man’s world.
Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the 1980 hit movie, Memorial Opera House will present this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era.
Pushed to the boiling point, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss.
In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot! While Hart remains “otherwise engaged,” the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down.
Hey, a girl can scheme, can’t she?
