The Beach Boys showed they still have it at Four Winds Casinos on Saturday night

The Beach Boys showed they still have it at Four Winds Casinos on Saturday night

The Beach Boys played at the Silver Creek Event Center at Four Winds Casinos, and it’s safe to say they have still got it. Playing a sold-out show, The Beach Boys brought the crowd excitedly to their feet.

“Specifically this show – The Beach Boys – we have them every year, so they always try to add us to their routing,” said Four Winds Casinos Director of Entertainment Jason George. “We love to have them and they love to be here.”

Throughout the night, the crowd clapped and sang along, ready to participate at any moment. During a slow song, the crowd turned on their phone flashlights and raised them overhead, swaying to the music. This act was started by Bruce Johnston, who plays the keyboard for The Beach Boys; he was the first to raise his phone and the crowd followed along.

“We have had them about five or six years in a row now and they always try to put our venue on their tour,” George said. “We always welcome them because they are such a fantastic group to work with; the agency is fantastic to work with and they always put on an amazing show. It was really hard not having them last year, but we’re excited that they are our first show back after 498 days.”

Four Winds Casinos has been without acts for far too long, and The Beach Boys brought the energy of an entertainment renaissance. Lead Singer Mike Love mentioned how wonderful it was to finally be playing in front of a crowd again.

George also discussed how bringing such exciting music groups like The Beach Boys allows attendees to enjoy the amenities at Four Winds Casinos as well.

“Four Winds really is an entertainment destination, so our goal with any entertainment – especially here in Silver Creek – is to bring more people into the casino,” said George. “Hopefully, they stay at our beautiful hotel and dine at some of our fantastic restaurants.”

While the concert went on, attendees were able to visit the bar or casino, but the music kept almost everyone at their seats, ready to hear their favorite tunes. It was clear that viewers were invested. One woman remarked that she will never forget this night.

“A lot of people ask, ‘Do you go after acts or do acts go after you?’ It’s actually a mix of both,” George said. “We maintain relationships with the agencies that represent a lot of the artists that tour. Sometimes the agency will say, ‘Hey, we have a good routing opportunity. The band is going on tour from this date to this date and they’re going through the Midwest. Would you be interested in hosting this band?’”

The Beach Boys are Silver Creek’s first booking for 2021, but Four Winds Casinos is excited to bring more acts to the stage as the year continues.

“We’re looking forward to our next show, ‘MJ Live,’ which is an awesome Michael Jackson-tribute show that has a residency in Vegas right now,” said George. “This is our second time having them here, and the first time was completely sold out; it was an amazing show.”

Alongside MJ Live are Smoky Robinson, Lindsey Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac, and Hotel California, A Salute to the Eagles.

The Beach Boys move on to a new city after Saturday night, but it only gives Four Winds Casinos the space to welcome more acts for all to enjoy.
