Rib Cookoff and Free Community Picnic Saturday, June 5th, at the Portage Yacht Club (1370 St. Rd. 249, Portage). 
Anyone who enjoys cooking is encouraged to enter the Cookoff, which will be judged by Portage Community Leaders including Mayor Olga Velazquez, Fire Chief Tom Fieffer and Police Chief Mark Becker. First Prize for the best Ribs is a $100 Beef Mart Gift Certificate. A free community picnic will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. which will include food and games for kids and adults.
Grillers should call the church to register before May 29th at 763-6343 and must provide thier own grill and ribs. Winners will be announced at 3:00 p.m. If anyone has questions they can call the church office at 763-6343.
