United Way of Porter County offers a flex play Golf Classic to support COVID recovery efforts while following social distancing recommendations

Now through September 18, United Way of Porter County invites the community to flex play in their annual Golf Classic to support COVID recovery efforts.

The 18-hole tournament scramble will take place over the next two months at The Course at Aberdeen in Valparaiso. Golfers can play at their leisure any weekday afternoon to compete for a $400 grand prize, weekly prizes and qualify for a chance to win $10,000.

“We wanted to ensure that we’re keeping our golfers and donors safe,” said Kim Olesker, president & CEO of United Way of Porter County. “Proceeds from the event will go to support mental health services.”

United Way looks to raise $50,000 to support Porter County mental health services assisting residents adversely affected by COVID-19.

Golfer registration fee is $150 and includes one round of golf, golf cart, food, drinks and a free 9-hole round of golf. Foursome team registration required. Tournament play ends on Friday, September 18. Prize winners to be announced at the end of September.
