Aylesworth Elementary 3rd Grade
Angela Crawford's third grade class has been learning about 3D shapes, edges, faces, and vertices. This week they constructed different 3D shapes with toothpicks and marshmallows. The kids had a blast with this sticky activity!

Myers Elementary
Kindergartners at Myers Elementary have been learning about the life cycle of pumpkins. They recently took a trip to Coulter’s Pumpkin Patch in Westville to explore the pumpkin patch.

We had the privilege of spending the day with our very own South Have Fire Dept! SHFD let us take a tour of their equipment, gave us fire safety tips and spent quality time with our students. We were very thankful to have them visit Saylor.

PHS Geography & History Class
Students in Mr. Hills' Geography and History of the world class utilize their one-to-one resources to prepare for an upcoming map quiz. Students use the projector screens in tandem to identify countries and landforms, and use their iPads to answer the questions electronically. Quiz results pending...

PHS Guidance Department
Portage High School guidance department partnered with Purdue Northwest admissions office in an on-site admission opportunity. Students were able to have their college application, test scores and transcripts evaluated, and the majority of students were offered automatic admission to PNW. Five students were even offered Academic Achievement Scholarships. This process eliminated the "college application" stress factor for our students and PNW waived the application fee.
