After battling censorship from school administration, “The Bad Seed” proved to be a great choice for the PHS Thespians.

Many people from teachers, to students, to parents turned out to the auditorium for the opening night. The cast was sure to give their audience all they had expected and more.

Having both leading roles played by underclassman was a surprise to most. Student Director Abigail Seberger was anything but disappointed. "Just seeing them grow throughout the process is one of the best things," she explained.

At the conclusion of the play, the audience was thrilled the performance.

“This is one of the best plays I have seen during my time here [at PHS],” senior Sam Smith said.

“Everytime I come to see a Thespians production at PHS I am blown away with the great amount of talent of my peers,” PHS senior Alex Stack said.

In the end when the curtains were closed it was clear that all the work the students put into this production paid off.

If you missed Friday nights performance of "The Bad Seed", be sure to catch either the Saturday at 7:30pm or Sunday at 2:20pm showings in the Portage High School East Auditorium. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Go out this weekend and see what the PHS Thespians fought so hard to put on. It is a performance you will not regret.
