We have created 6 new positions in our Community Support Services department to accommodate our growing operation.
Added was a Clinical Coordinator position. In this role an LCSW is required along with 2 years of clinical experience. The Clinical Coordinator provides Community Support Services staff and programs with clinical supervision. They will provide direction for Community Support Services staff that assists consumers by locating, coordinating and monitoring necessary care and service. The Coordinator will also assist staff in creating therapeutic interventions for clients. This position also provides individual therapy to clients as needed. Also added were four Navigator positons located in Portage and in Valparaiso. In this role a Bachelor’s Degree is required along with 2 years of behavioral health experience. A Navigator provides direct, community-based, face-to-face services to adult Medicaid members discharged from psychiatric inpatient facility; establishes a connection with the member while receiving acute inpatient psychiatric hospitalization services to plan and facilitate continuity of care and compliance with medication and treatment. Another position that Porter-Starke Services had the pleasure of adding is a Support Staff. In this role a High School Diploma is required with previous mental health work experience. The Support Staff will provide assistance to all Community Support Services programs. This will include tasks such as helping clients with financial administration and maintaining of client benefits such as Medicaid and Social Security.
