Dan Reisen, local vocalist and guitarist, entertained the dinner crowd at Industrial Revolution Eatery and Grille from 6-9 on Wednesday evening. The restaurant has a bar and regular seating, and all ages young and old were there for dinner while Reisen performed.
A Valparaiso resident since last November, Reisen stays local with his musical performances. Tonight was his second performance at Industrial Revolution, where he is scheduled to perform every other Wednesday.
Reisen’s performance set an entertaining atmosphere for the evening at Industrial Revolution, as he specializes in covering well-known pop/rock anywhere from the 70’s and 80’s up to today. Throughout the course of his performance diners were bound to hear familiar songs they knew well enough to sing along to.
Reisen says of his music, “I lean towards the entertainment aspect of music. I want people to be able to go have dinner and hear their favorite songs; songs they are familiar with.”
Performing at local restaurants is a side business for Reisen, who is also a fourth grade teacher at South Haven Elementary School, a DJ at 27 Entertainment, and a worship leader at GracePoint Church. Reisen sings and plays the guitar as a part of being a worship leader at GracePoint Church.
“We love having guest musicians come in to Industrial Revolution to perform for our guests,” stated Carrie Kludt, Manager at Industrial Revolution. “Dan's done a great job interacting with our guests, and he plays music that appeals to people of all ages. We hope that our guests enjoy the live performances as much as we do, and hope that those who haven't been in on a performance night stop in for the next one!”
